Объясните мне суть происходящего, если представляется возможным: сайт 2х2 пишет о том, что срок действия лицензии истекает 17 октября, и существует реальная вероятность закрытия канала. В это же время Южный Парк признан растлевающим души сериалом, его трансляцию запрещают. Чуть позже выходит чудная бумага о том, что заместитель префекта удовлетворяет общественную потребность в пикете с целью привлечь внимание и "установить памятник мальчику Кенни", собираются люди, выкладываются фотографии. Почему идет борьба за Южный Парк, который уже лет пять есть на всех дивиди, когда могут закрыть весь канал? Какой к чертям памятник Кенни? О_о

Понятно, что он есть на DVD. Бесит то, что на фоне отвратных комеди клубов лицемерно и ханжески запрещают Южный Парк. Это неприятно, когда тебе запрещают.

Does my old heart good to see some political protest in a country that used to be known for its political censorship.

As long as freedom of speech is preserved, I don't think Russia will slip back into her old ways. Then again from my personal understanding of humanity, for every protestor there are 1000 sheep, only time will tell Russia's fate.

why cant parents just monitor what kids are watching on television, instead of having the TV babysit them? i bet russia can't come up with even one legit example of south park screwing up the minds of youth. this show isnt even made for kids, that's why it airs so late! saying south park is bad for youth is like saying drinking and gambling for youth is bad, which it is, because its just NOT MADE FOR KIDS! parents in russia [and crazy commie evangelicals] are to blame, not south park. by the way, what ever happended to russia's 'freedom of speech'?

i am a literate 16 year old american who loves south park. i dont get into trouble with the law, i have a great GPA, i come from an upper middle class family of four [my dad works at HP and my mom is an RN], and i LOVE south park! it has taught me how things like cults, racism, and pedeophilia are horrible things, by putting it into a language i can understand and giving it a charismatic twist of satire. go south park! great job on winning an emmy award!

100% agree.
BUT.
It's not about south park, really.
It's about shutting down a whole TV Channel under pretence of showing old SP episode. That episode was shown lots of times earlier by other tv channels.

уже разговоры про политику пошли. я бы перевела все свое негодование на английский, но не настолько хорошо его знаю, чтобы устраивать межнациональные разборки

забавнее всего читать что-то вроде такого
«Мы призываем людей, которые работают на канале «2х2», осознать всю глубину нравственного падения руководства этого канал и отказаться от дальнейшей работы на телерупор сатанинской и вселенской мерзости, которым является этот канал, и только ради этих людей стоило бы в порядке исключения возродить каторгу».
я бы только для того, чтобы отослать этого человека на каторгу, вышла бы на тот митинг и проголосовала за 2х2

Половина людей здесь возмущается, что протест идет только из-за одного мультфильма... Это реально бред... Мне жаль тех, кто глупо и неоригенально не понимает, что South Park стал лишь символикой борьбы за телеканал 2х2... Мне лично очень приятно, что так много народу объединилось, чтобы поддержать, казалось бы, всего лишь продукт сферы услуг... Некоторые смотрят подобные "экстремистские" мультфильмы тупо ради развлечения, но достаточное количество людей все-таки прослеживает между подобными грубыми шутками полетический подтекст, кстати довольно таки продуманно выражающий индивидуальную точку зрения создателей South Park'а. Лично я только за дальнейшее транслирование мультфильма, так же как и за продление лицензии телеканала. У нас в стране все-таки, как-никак, свобода слова и мысли... =)

I hope they didn't ban it after all this protest and that Russians can look forward to October and the new episodes with the rest of the world (not that we actually watched SP on tv anyways.....ah well~)
